Icc championship trophy 2013
The Championship prize unlike the Globe Mug is a much less elaborate sport. This year’s Champion prize will be hosted by England and the Wales which makes England the only nation to have hosted the tournament two times. The very initial event called the 1998 ICC Knockout Trophy was won by South Africa after defeating the West Indies group in the finals. West Indies beat the host nation in the finals to take home their prize in the fourth edition and in the fifth, the Australians seized it straight off their arms in the finals. In the following Champion event, The Australians again won the mug, having given the English group a large thrashing. As per the ICC Champion prize routine the matches are set to commence on sixth June 2013 with India playing against South Africa at the Sophia Gardens in Cardiff.
